This typeface is inspired by American Traditional Tattoos. The tattoo style has a rich history and background. Part of the reason why it’s so popular is because Americans have been involved in almost every single war since 1775, and both soldiers and sailors perpetuated these tattoos. They were symbols of protection, reminders of their loved one, courage and strength. I wanted to capture this aesthetic while also adding a unique twist.
This series of postcards display the Parlour typeface accompanied by Minnesota related illustrations in the style of American Traditional tattoos.
This is a secondary typeface to be used in conjunction with the original "Parlour". In this version, there are also numbers available.
